Four New Recruits Boost dgm Search and Affiliate Teams

Posted by: dgmmarketing
SYDNEY, 18 JANUARY 2009: Online marketing agency dgm has welcomed four new recruits so far in 2010, including a graduate with a personal recommendation from marketing guru and best-selling author, Seth Godin.

In the client services team, Sam Morton joins as account manager to work on Dell, both locally and assisting the regional lead with Dell’s Asian programs. He was previously at Profero in London where he was account manager on international affiliate programs for leading finance brands HBOS and Lloyds. His broad experience also covers the retail, travel and telco sectors.

In the Affiliate team, Melody Bennetts joins as publisher executive, where she will manage relationships with all the top affiliates in the dgm network. Melody was previously the affiliate manager at Roamfree.

Craig Ellis, dgm Managing Director said a host of Search wins, along with growth spurts in affiliate marketing in the telco and retail sectors, have led to the appointments.

“We have acquired two highly experienced online marketing professionals in Sam and Melody, who join our team at a time when the online marketing disciplines offered by dgm are enjoying a surge in both trust and understanding from advertisers,” Ellis said.

Two graduates have also joined dgm, both in the Search team. Lauren Hotson is an ebusiness graduate from UTS, and Sebastian Graham, also a UTS graduate, comes with a reference from none other than Seth Godin, with whom he completed a virtual internship.

Godin writes: “[Sebastian] worked virtually, and thus I can’t comment on his choice of clothing or personal habits. As best I can tell, he’s hard working, straightforward and certainly quite motivated!”

Ellis said: “That was certainly high praise for Sebastian, and we are confident that both he and Lauren will fit into the dgm culture.”

Search clients that dgm welcomed in 2009 include Fisher & Paykel, Home Hardware, Austereo and Global Shop Direct, for which dgm also handles affiliate marketing.
