Search Focus Increased in Digital Council

Posted by: dgmmarketing
ADMA has refreshed its Digital Council with the appointment of Search specialist Gary Nissim from online marketing agency dgm as the head of the Search Engine Optimisation / Search Engine Marketing Working Group (Search Working Group).

Nissim joins other industry leaders to put the spotlight on issues around search engine marketing, in particular how companies can implement successful search engine optimisation into their websites.

The other members of the Search Working Group are: Sylvia Kim, Search Strategy Marketing Manager at News Limited's CareerOne; Mark Vozzo, Online Analytics Lead at Microsoft; Lucas Ng, Director of Search & Analytics at Fairfax Digital, and; Max Sim, Senior SEO advisor at REA Group.

Nissim said, "The efforts of the Search Working Group will be focused on producing a paper outlining best practice for enterprise SEO, which is vital to get right yet so few Australian organisations get close."

"We have a team of highly experienced search professionals on the working group, and we expect to release the results of our endeavours in late November this year."

The Search Working Group is just one of four Working Groups within the ADMA Digital Council looking at:

- email / mobile
- search engine optimisation / search engine marketing
- social networks and media
- technology, ad serving and video

Phil Smith, Managing Partner, ideagarden is the Chair of the ADMA Digital Council.

Phil Smith said, "The ADMA Digital Council is all about how marketers can connect with customers in real time using specific technologies. The Digital Council is about providing forums for information-sharing on matters of specific common interest aimed at increasing the industry sector body of knowledge."

The Digital Council is open to anyone who works for an ADMA member. By joining the Council, Marketers can participate in quarterly updates and presentations on working papers such as those produced by Gary's team, meet thought leaders in the field and other marketing practitioners dealing with the same daily issues on how to achieve outstanding marketing results.

If you want to join the ADMA Digital Council and receive first hand updates on the work of the search working group or the other working groups are doing contact ADMA at councils@adma.com.au
